At $15/person this is the steal of the 2024 Sonoran Restaurant week (last year it was Blanco's but this year their offering went up $10 to $45/couple). I've always loved Buendia but they're far from me. We saw their SRW menu (see pic for all the details) and had to go! 3 Dorado tacos (beef/potatoes) OR 2 red chili burritos; Plus drink; Plus mini puréed beans; Plus mini rice pudding = phenomenal deal, especially at this quality (and outstanding service) levels!

Waited about an hour for a table for 2 at lunch on Saturday. We did the Sonoran Restaurant Week menu. The tacos dorados are packed with filling and so good. My mom had the carne con chile burritos. The cafe de la Olla and cinnamon tea are to die for. Incredibly friendly service and great ambiance. Love this place.

Amazing Service, incredible food, highly recommended the stuffed Poblano for breakfast. Best in Tucson, maybe Arizona. You will leave here with a smile on your face. If there's a line, trust me, it's worth the wait.

Upon arrival there was a long wait. Glad I went by myself only waited 30 minutes. Ordered huevos Rancheros. Staff was nice and friendly. I like how they have a salt shaker that says "Algeria" on it. The server will take the shaker and pour joy on your plate. I thought that was so adorable. Place is clean and casual ambiance. I highly recommend you try out this place. Show up early to avoid the long wait.

I went to try Buendia with a friend for breakfast. The interior is small and cozy, with only 12-14 tables. On a Sunday morning, there was a 30-minute wait. My friend and I ordered the chilaquiles divorciados with eggs, the machaca and eggs, and cafe de olla (with dairy-free milk). Everything tasted good but was not spectacular compared to other places in Tucson. For the chilaquiles, the red sauce tasted like straight enchilada sauce, but the salsa verde portion was better. However, the standout item was the cafe de olla, which was sweet with a fantastic cinnamon flavor. Ultimately, I would be willing to return for the coffee and friendly service.

Always friendly and fast service. Worth the short wait. We tried the three empanadas plate with beans and all three were tasty. The apple pancakes on the kids menu were huge and such a good value. Wonderful place to eat, we make an effort to stop here whenever we are in town.

Arrived early around 7:45 AM left for five minutes came back to see about 15 in line for breakfast. The line moved rapidly and were sat within minutes. Thats because we were the first to arrive here. I knew I wanted the chilaquiles divorados very good !

I really enjoyed this place. I went on a Sunday around lunch time. There was about a 40 minute wait, but worth it. The inside is small, Maybe 10 or 12 tables, but service was extremely fast. I really like the cafe de olla and cinnamon tea. I tried the huevos rancheros nopal, mostly because it sounded different and I never had nopales before. I dont think I would order it again, but it was good, I just like traditional huevos rancheros more. Will be back to try lunch and chilaquiles!

I learned today what all the raves are about of this place. Friendly staff that transforms the food and experience with "allegria". The food is so darn satisfying- savory, fresh artistic. Small space with limited seating but so cozy and colorful. You leave your meal stuffed and with much allegria. ps: as odd as this may seem... but even the restroom is a fun and positive space ( beautiful excerpt from S. Fitzgerald on the door).
